Body to Eat!

“Body to eat” This is the Naturalium tagline. It is printed on the bottles too, I dug a little deeper and here is what I found on their page,

“Body to Eat, a new concept of Naturalium, with which we want to convey the essence of our products, designed to make you smell like real fresh fruit, causing desire to eat you…”

And they delivered what they promised; the foremost feature of Naturalium which makes it attractive is the aroma of fruit, not added flavors but real fruit. It has

  •  0% Parabens
  •  0% Colorants
  •   0% Phthalate
  • 0% Phenoxyethanol

The Naturalium Fruit Pleasure Range boasts of six fruit flavors- Melon, Mango, Peach, Green Apple, Raspberry and Coconut.

  • Each flavor has a Shampoo and Conditioner (two in one), a shower gel and a body lotion.
  • The products have no color due to absence of artificial colorants and have a gel consistency.
  • They tickle your olfactory senses and leave a lasting impression. They smell absolutely delicious leaving you fresh and craving for more.

I tried the Coconut Shampoo with Conditioner – It has Pro-vitamin B5, to nourish your hair from the root. It cleansed my hair very well and left it soft with no frizz.

Coming to the Green Apple Body Lotion – I have never tried a green apple flavored product before, it smells divine, it lasts a good 4 hours and needs reapplication, it blends easily and it has Vitamin E.

And last, The Mango Shower gel – The perfect shower gel for summer, it cleanses well without stripping the skin of its essential oils, every time I use it I end up craving mangoes. It has vitamin E, Anti-oxidant and Anti-Free Radical effect.

Naturalium- Back to basics, to nature, to simplicity.

Naturalium has been voted as product of the year in 2016 in Spain, it is Made in Spain.

The cherry on the cake would be their Social Responsibility; they donate a part of the fund to NGO which builds wells to facilitate public access to potable water, in areas of Zimbabwe where there is a dry season for eight months which dries out the water resource.

Naturalium is distributed in India through Komplete Kare, a company focused on developing luxury international brands in the Indian market those are natural, ethically produced and inspired by nature.

Naturalium products are available online on Nykaa, Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal. They can also be purchased offline through most cosmetic stores Hypercity, Wellness Forever, Dorabjees, Health and Glow to name a few.

Would I buy it?

It’s a steal for the contents and price and I am adding it to my repurchase list. Plus, they have so many exotic variants which are new to the Indian market which is dominated by very few and basic fruit flavors.

Lip Love

Lips are overlooked often when it comes to skin care routine. Most of us believe chap sticks / lip balms are good enough to take care of the lips. But these babies deserve a lot of love and care to be soft and luscious.

We have so many lipsticks in the market- matte, creme, liquid lipsticks, matte gloss, shiny gloss….. and it goes on. These formulas tend to dry out the lips and we need to provide extra nourishment for our lips.

A simple routine when followed regularly works wonders on your lips.

Lipstick+chapped lips = DON’T

Exfoliate your lips every alternate day,  in the morning after brushing. Use sugar to scrub away that dead skin for brand new super soft lips.

Mix sugar granules + coconut oil for homemade scrub. There are plenty of flavors available online if you like the scented variants. I use a small toothbrush to scrub, you can use your normal toothbrush as well but the kid’s one is cute.  ♥

Protect them!

Your lips need protection from the harsh sun too. Use a good lip balm with SPF. Apply lip balm to your lips after exfoliating.

I use the Body Shop Vitamin E lip Balm. It’s not tinted, has no scent and it comes with SPF 15.

Night Routine

Use a good make up remover or almond oil to remove your lipstick. Even though the lipstick fades away at the end of the day, it’s necessary to get rid of any leftover lipstick.

Use the tooth brush to scrub the lips again(no scrub required). Dab some coconut oil on your lips and massage your lips for about a minute followed by which use a fork and poke your lips gently. This will help boost circulation and give you fuller and plump lips.

It comes in a spray bottle and the perfume is mint green in color. It’s compact and is perfect to carry around in your handbag.

It has a pleasant smell, the whiff of green apple is noticeable and it settles into a subtle smell which doesn’t hurt my head. *I hate strong fragrances, the musky kind, I end up getting a terrible headache.*

Top Notes(the initial whiff, lasts for few minutes) : Cedar, Wild Hyacinth, Green Apple

Heart Notes(the fragrance after the top note evaporates, lasts few hours): Jasmine, Bamboo, White Rose

Base Notes(the lingering fragrance you get after heart notes evaporate, stays for a long time) : Cedar, White Musk, Amber

  • Affordable.
  • Stays for a good 2-4 hours.
  • A pleasant floral fruity smell.
  • Free delivery.
  • Bonus: It’s not tested on animals.

They also have a “scentbox”, where you can choose three 2 ml testers from their fragrance range, it is priced at 165 INR per box. They give you a voucher for 165 INR  along with the box which you can redeem when you buy a full-sized perfume in their website.

What I think?

It’s a good buy for the price it retails. The only drawback is the staying time of 2-4 hours. It’s a day perfume, the kind you can wear daily. Not suitable for office as the staying power is low, you can wear it for brunch or for a few hours shopping or when you run errands(you get my point :p) as it is subtle and not overpowering.
