Lip Love

Lips are overlooked often when it comes to skin care routine. Most of us believe chap sticks / lip balms are good enough to take care of the lips. But these babies deserve a lot of love and care to be soft and luscious.

We have so many lipsticks in the market- matte, creme, liquid lipsticks, matte gloss, shiny gloss….. and it goes on. These formulas tend to dry out the lips and we need to provide extra nourishment for our lips.

A simple routine when followed regularly works wonders on your lips.

Exfoliate

Lipstick+chapped lips = DON’T

Exfoliate your lips every alternate day,  in the morning after brushing. Use sugar to scrub away that dead skin for brand new super soft lips.

Mix sugar granules + coconut oil for homemade scrub. There are plenty of flavors available online if you like the scented variants. I use a small toothbrush to scrub, you can use your normal toothbrush as well but the kid’s one is cute.  ♥

Protect them!

Your lips need protection from the harsh sun too. Use a good lip balm with SPF. Apply lip balm to your lips after exfoliating.

I use the Body Shop Vitamin E lip Balm. It’s not tinted, has no scent and it comes with SPF 15.

Night Routine

Use a good make up remover or almond oil to remove your lipstick. Even though the lipstick fades away at the end of the day, it’s necessary to get rid of any leftover lipstick.

Use the tooth brush to scrub the lips again(no scrub required). Dab some coconut oil on your lips and massage your lips for about a minute followed by which use a fork and poke your lips gently. This will help boost circulation and give you fuller and plump lips.
